Hello people, welcome to another edition of TFNS. Tonight we will discuss about the crazy events around the planet mood, or Earth, as it appears on the books (also Cycling, our main content).
Is Dear Fatty Alive? Or just trying to attract the world's attention? I prefer him alive, his sister is worse than him. Donald is spying on him now, pervy old man, but shhh you didn't heard it from me. Today was approved a special permission for cyclists in Colombia, so every cyclist can train at least 1 hour per day, in groups; but 15 feet of distance between riders, priority will be 5-8 am to train. That means cyclists like Bernal or Higuita will trigger the shape on the road. Of course, as a non supporter of Elbow man (N.Q) I think he already triggered his TF during Paris-Nice, he usually does that before big races.
With the new dates for the GT's, and the recent information from french prime minister of no activities before September 1st, well, if all goes right and the COVID-19 V2 C.O.I decreases; will bring a nice view for the cycling horizon. Remco's challenge scared me, that little soccer boy will be a legend guy for classics and 1 week tours or the biggest bluff of all times, so people, don't put pressure on him.
Personally, I don't think he will be a 3 week man, he needs a solid pace on the long steep climbs, his biggest problem besides his technique on the bike, I have detailed it and he needs to make it better, especially downhilling and rainy days, but he could have it eventually if luck is good to him (sorry belgians, but you need to put aside the flag and true will appear in front of you).
Mr. Froome said this extra time is good for him to prepare his body for TdF (I'm a huge fan man, but remember, age is also a problem). But, if a guy can prepare for a challenge like that better than anyone, that's him. Julian, forget of GT's, don't waste your career like Valverde trying things you can't conquer; Bardet, you already wasted yours believing you could win a Tour, a Vuelta if you are lucky (you make 0 difference on Climbing, Downhilling, and you lose 3 min in a small TT of 25km, yeah, you are good for BA's).
Dumoulin... one of the biggest incognitas in Cycling. Will Tom come back to his 2018 level? I hope so, but I have my doubts, just like Froomey. Primoz, my old cousin, good luck; only if you cross against Ineos no, then no ;). Adam, you are a great team mate, Simon, recharge legs please, you are good; Chaves, or 2 years crawling. Same like Bardet, you will never have the chance to win a GT, you had the best chance and of course, failed (I will not count 2019-2020, mononucleosis). This is real criticism people, the truth is better than saying, good luck next year.
Which reminds me, Froome, if you can't keep up, don't be like Elbow Man. Don't end up like him, please. Bernal, no words, just keep going. Carapaz, if you were looking to fully lead a team, Ineos may be wasn't the best choice now, maybe in one-two years (with Froome-Thomas out) but don't say you went to Ineo$ for leadership... erm money talks ;) which I understand.
Oh Geraint, Geraint. A mysterious specimen. I wonder about your race shape now. Landa, you are good as team mate, don't think you are a super Contador #LockLanda hehehe. Soler, same, Mas; you are gonna try it for real, let's see how you do it. And for the others, cross fingers.
Oh folks, I guess that was enough destruction for our favorite cyclists. Rumors about a conspiracy in NK to show Dear Fatty as the Evil One, the mere Anti... don't believe such rumor, is a lie. But europeans... I would worry, I won't tell which country exactly, but that dude is pure evil, but looks charming. Ok, that sounded weird, well it's time to finish this edition of #TFNS and have fun. Next time I'll be updating US Postal status during the last days of season and the review of the season.
PD: Is Bernal ET? I had a picture confirming it... but the MIB took it from me :(
